 FRENCH RUGBY TOURS - PERPIGNAN / NARBONNE / CARCASSONNE  PlayHard Sports in conjunction with Perpignan based Catalan Sports Tours, are excited
to announce our fantastic tours for Union & League clubs to the French Catalan & Aude regions in the south of France.We offer touring clubs a high level of personal service whilst in the resorts of Perpignan, Narbonne and Carcassonne, making our packages excellent value for money. The Catalan Sports Tour staff will meet you on arrival at the airport, transfer you by coach to your chosen hotel and give you all the details regarding your fixtures. They will accompany you to the games and if you wish, they can arrange various “Social” activities including “Bar Crawls” during your stay. The CST staff are locally based “Aussies” who know exactly what UK visiting clubs require to make the tour a fantastic experience. They will be on hand during the whole of your stay and you will be given their contact mobile numbers.
Perpignan: is a great destination, situated in the south west of France in the Pyrénées Orientales. As well as being close to the Pyrénées mountain range, it is just 10 km from the Mediterranean coast. Being so close to Spain, there is a large Catalonian influence to life in the city and Barcelona is just over two hours away. Perpignan has many restaurants, cafes, bars and night-clubs. There is something for all tastes and the Catalonian influence is common with restaurants offering good value set menus. It is of course, a fantastic venue to play either Rugby Union or Rugby League.
Narbonne: is located on the coast of one of the most popular tourist regions and enjoys the many advantages of a seaside resort with a 5 kilometre (3-mile) beach and a marina. You'll find many chic shops, bars & good restaurants with the area specialising in game, fish, pastry making and confectionery. There is also a Sports Complex with an Olympic basin covered Swimming Pool - Giant Water Toboggan (85 m), Bowling, Skating Rink and Cafeteria. Narbonne also prospers today from the vineyards that surround it. The town is clearly well preserved with the attractive Canal de la Robine lined with colourful barges and trees providing welcome shade in the midday sun. Narbonne is mainly a Rugby Union Town.
Carcassonne: has a talent for diversity and there are many possible combinations of activities: Historic tours of the Medieval City or the Bastide Saint Louis, Water Sports, or just relaxing by the Lake Cavayere or the Canal du Midi. Located at the heart of the Toulouse-Montpellier-Barcelona triangle, dating back to ancient times, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, from the Cévennes to the Pyrénées mountain range. Discover its history, its local cuisine, its wines, or simply enjoy the scenery. From the Bastide Saint-Louis to the incredible Medieval Walled City, Carcassonne offers a wealth of things to do with great nightlife and restaurants. Carcassonne is mainly a Rugby League Town.
